Every water damage repair is different, but most projects follow these four basic steps.
Inspect the Damage
We identify wet drywall, moisture damage, failed joints, movement and other visible drywall problems.
Prepare the Area
Floors and nearby surfaces are protected before damaged material is removed and the repair area is prepared.
Repair and Finish
New drywall is installed, tape and finishing compound are applied as needed to rebuild the ceiling surface.
Prime and Paint
The repair is sanded, checked, primed and painted for a clean, consistent finished appearance.

Can a damaged ceiling be repaired without replacing the entire ceiling?
Yes. Many wet spots, holes, stains and damaged sections can be repaired locally. Larger repairs may require removing a wider section so new drywall can be supported and blended properly.
Do I need to fix the leak before repairing water-damaged drywall?
Yes. The roof, pipe, bathroom or other moisture source should be corrected before the ceiling is closed and refinished.
Can you repair both drywall and plaster ceilings?
Yes. The repair method depends on the ceiling material, the condition of the surrounding surface and the cause of the damage.
Will the repaired area need to be painted?
Most ceiling repairs should be primed and painted. Painting the entire ceiling often gives a more consistent result than touching up only the repaired section. We often offer to do the painting with the repairs.
Can you repair a textured ceiling?
Yes, many ceiling textures can be matched or blended. The final result depends on the existing texture, previous paint and the size of the damaged area.
What information should I provide when requesting an estimate?
